About
Our Mission
The mission of the Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra is to be a first-class community orchestra enabling musicians to perform orchestral music in the city of Lone Tree and South Metro Denver at a high standard, thus enriching the lives of community members through music.
Who We Are
The Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra (LTSO) was founded in September 2000. Our orchestra is comprised of a handful of professional musicians leading our string sections with the remainder of our members being volunteers. Some of us are engaged in non-music related careers but come from a strong music background, and several members are music educators. Many of us played throughout college, with quite a few of us taking our very first music lesson in early elementary school. Because we love playing, and music is such a relevant part of our lives, we come together to practice and perform.
Due to the generous support of our donors, patrons, the City of Lone Tree and the Lone Tree Arts Commission, we are able to offer our concerts at a very low admission fee. We feel that this affordable admission fee encourages many families with young children to attend and provides us with a broader audience. We believe that orchestral music is a powerful art form that is not only uplifting to the individual, but is beneficial to the community as a whole, and should be accessible to all.
We are grateful for the financial contributions of our patrons, and are happy to invite individuals and businesses to pursue sponsorship in our orchestra.
