Fate and Future
The Lone Tree Symphony opens the season with a compelling program exploring destiny and transformation. Verdi’s dramatic overture to La Forza del Destino sets the tone, followed by the LTSO’s premiere performance of Sercy by Hilary Purrington, winner of the Lone Tree Symphony Composition Competition. The first half concludes with Alfvén’s Swedish Rhapsody No. 1. The evening concludes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, a powerful and enduring journey from darkness to triumph.

As a special collaboration with the Lone Tree Arts Center this season, Jacinda Bouton will be conducting musicians from the Lone Tree Symphony as they perform a live score alongside the classic 1931 film Frankenstein. This performance is on sale now as a part of the Lone Tree Arts Center 2026-2027 season.

The Lone Tree Symphony takes you on a musical journey through France, opening with Offenbach’s lively Orpheus in the Underworld Overture and followed by the beauty of Debussy’s Clair de Lune. The program continues with Milhaud’s playful Le Boeuf sur le Toit (that’s Bull on a Tin Roof!) and concludes with selections from Les Misérables. A celebration of French artistry and unforgettable melodies you won’t want to miss.

The evening culminates in Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, a dazzling orchestral masterpiece inspired by One Thousand and One Nights. With its soaring violin solos and vivid storytelling, Scheherazade brings the season to a thrilling close.
